R Symons Ltd is the leading supplier of used Teslas in the UK. We are unique in our genuine enthusiasm for these vehicles, and our conscious approach to vehicle sales. Richard has been a Tesla and EV owner since 2015 and so has a tremendous breadth of real world knowledge. He converted his good friend Jo to the world of EVs and went to build this business and his fantastic team!

As a team we are committed to bringing the highest standard of customer service to our customers. Switching from Fuel to Electric can be daunting, so we are on hand to guide you through the journey to electric motoring.                                                         

With real world knowledge of Electric Vehicles currently available across the market we want to make the switch to electric as stress free and fun as possible. Weā€™re also dedicated to the further education on the economical and environmental benefits of driving electric.

  • Amie Goodchild

    The first voice you will hear when you call us. Who better to keep us all on track and keep on top of all of the DVLA, Finance, Brokerage and Admin processes but Amie with her focus and organised approach. The tempo in the office is high and sometimes pressured but Amie always manages to keep calm, focussed and also smiling. ā€œMy favourite part of my job is helping customers with buying or brokering their vehicles, especially letting the owners know their car has sold!ā€.

    "When not at work I enjoy watching Formula 1 (and being high maintenance)". 

  • Gints Reinis

    With his chilled approach and ready smile Gints is an easy man to be around, which is just as well as we all (Richard especially) spend a lot of time with him during filming. Heading up our marketing and social media you will have seen his work and now and then he is caught in front of the camera. He knows his stuff when it comes to EVs too so donā€™t be surprised if he answers the phone and helps you with your enquiry! ā€œOne of the most fun parts of the job is getting to see and even try out all the new cars that we getā€.
     
    During his spare time Gints loves Volleyball, Photography and a pint of good beer!

  • Sergiu Cociuba

    General Manager and Product Specialist who also heads up our division for after market modifications such as Alcantara Trims, Swivel Screen Mounts, PPF and Chrome deletes etc. Serge has great attention to detail and is always organised and attentive. If you would like advice on how to make your Tesla more individual Serge should be on your speed-dial. He has been a Tesla fan for many years and always follows the latest news so his product knowledge is second to none.

    "For me this is more than just a job, I enjoy every day of it. What I enjoy the most is when a customer collects their car and I see their excitementā€.

    Serge is a big fan of Formula 1 so if it's on, that's where you'll find him. Also enjoys a game of tennis, or a good film (or YouTube video).
     

  • Jo Webb

    Managing Director and Head of Sales, keeping an overall eye on the operation and supporting with Sales, HR and anything else that doesn't threaten to ruffle his beard (nothing involving spanners, dirt or dust). Jo has a decades long background in premium retail and with extensive knowledge of Electric Vehicles and Tesla in particular, he will be able to advise on the best vehicle for your journey into electric motoring with a professional and personal service throughout.

    ā€œOur team are great fun to work with and one thing I really enjoy is the persiflage we all shareā€.

    When not at work you might find him enjoying a single origin artisan Coffee while indulging his interest in unusual words. Also loves a swim in the sea or workout at the gym.
     

  • Richard Symons

    Richard set up R Symons Ltd in 2010, and has been providing amazing first hand knowledge to the EV Community ever since buying his own first electric car in 2015. His passion and personal knowledge of the market and vehicles is second to none.

    "I am unlike almost any other vehicle trader you are likely to meet. I set up my business because I am a true car enthusiast and I love buying and selling great cars and helping people find the right car for them.

    Initially, as a young lad, I completed a degree in product design but my ambitions to become a car designer were hard to fulfil. Over time the path of life lead me into the world of software where I was a UK director for an excellent company, but I had to step down from this job to commit time for family life upon the arrival of our daughter 2009. It was then in 2010 that I basically converted a hobby into a living and Iā€™ve been playing with cars full time ever since!

    More recently Iā€™ve become a real fan of electric cars and have been running my own 100% electric car since 2015. Yes… a ā€˜petrol headā€™ owning an electric car..! It is possible, and theyā€™re great. We need to change, climate change is real, and this is a really positive step forward for sustainable personal transport. Iā€™ll happily talk at length to any sceptics on the matter and Iā€™m sure Iā€™ll help convince you itā€™s a great way forward.

    With any car that we sell or any advice we give, I pride myself on it being honest, transparent and refreshingly different from your stereotypical car dealer. You will receive a friendly, personal, helpful and professional service. Even if you just want to call and chat about cars or ask for some advice - no problem!

    When he is not on the road filming or at the office asking "what happened while I was out filming?" you will most likely find Richard enjoying some family time, walking Daniel the dog or perhaps out on the water.
